"Make sure to visit Rajabhakti Park in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat, as the reflective surfaces of the statues can amplify the sun's intensity. Also, keep an eye out for the occasional cultural performances and ceremonies, which are not widely advertised but offer a unique glimpse into local traditions."

History of Rajabhakti Park

The conceptualization and construction of Rajabhakti Park were driven by the Thai Army to honor the leadership and virtues of Thailand’s historic kings. Construction began in 2014 and the park was officially opened to the public in 2015. A key feature of the park is the monumental sculptures of the seven kings, each ranging in height from 13.9 to 18.8 meters. They were constructed by the Fine Arts Department and cast in bronze by the Royal Thai Foundry. The choice of Hua Hin for its location is also notable, given its significance as a royal and historic city, beloved by Thai royalty for its tranquility and beauty.

It reflects the deep respect and veneration the Thai people have for their former kings, captured through these grand statues that tell stories of leadership and unity. Apart from the obvious historical significance, the park is important for instilling national pride and educating visitors, especially the younger generation, about the nation’s history and the contributions of these celebrated leaders.
