Historically, the islands have not been heavily influenced by the same degree of commercial development as Phuket or the Phi Phi Islands. For the water enthusiasts, scuba diving and snorkeling are the highlights – the visibility can be astounding, sometimes exceeding 25 meters. The King Cruiser wreck near Koh Racha Yai is a popular dive site teeming with marine life. While diving, it's possible to encounter manta rays, schools of barracuda, and the vividly colored coral gardens that are so characteristic of this area.

On land, a trek through the island's interior reveals lush jungles and hidden coves, perfect for when you want to meander away from the sandy beaches. Another activity that's becoming increasingly popular is stand-up paddleboarding; it’s a peaceful way to explore the island's periphery. And let’s not forget, simply relaxing on the beach with a good book and the sound of the waves is an indulgence in itself.
