What with everything going on at the moment, we could all use a little uplifting. We’ve put together our 10 favorite travel photos for this month to remind you how beautiful this world we inhabit is, despite how it might feel right now. 

We’re going to do this every month to get you inspired and excited to see more of our wonderful planet as soon as you possibly can!

1. Palawan Beach, Singapore

Why we think it’s a top photo: Palawan Beach is about as close to paradise as you can possibly get. If you’re a beach-lover, Singapore’s beaches are a must! Palawan is super photogenic in the day, but catch it at the right moment during sunset (like here) and it’s just pure magic. 

We picked this photo because it captures the amazing colors of the Singaporian sunset beautifully and we can't wait to be back out there taking in sunsets like this again very soon! 

2. Yu Garden, Shanghai

Why we think it’s a top photo: China is known for its intricate and precise architecture and we think this photo represents that. 

Yu Garden in Shanghai is one of the largest and arguably most beautiful gardens in China. We can just imagine spending hours wandering through the corridors and archways, taking in the cool air and bright autumn leaves. Definitely one for the bucket list!

Why we think it’s a top photo: The colors of the autumn leaves in Vermont are something to behold, and if this photo doesn’t make you want to go and see for yourself, I don’t know what will! It makes us want to go live the American dream for a while - hire a car and take a road trip!

4. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, East Java

Why we think it’s a top photo: This stunning photo showcases just how beautiful our world is! Can you even believe it’s real? Well, trust us, it is! Located in Indonesia’s East Java, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall really is mind-blowing. Hiking up here for sunrise and watching Semeru Volcano slowly emerge through the morning fog would be an experience you definitely wouldn’t forget. 

5. Ethiopia

Why we think it’s a top photo: For us, travel is all about experiencing different cultures and learning from them. In this photo, a Mursi tribeswoman showcases a hand-decorated lip plate and an elaborate headpiece. The Mursi people reside in one of the most isolated regions of Ethiopia, surrounded by mountains near the Omo River. Living solely off the land they inhabit, we could all learn a lesson from these amazing people.

Why we think it’s a top photo: Rio Celeste Waterfall is one of the most instagrammable spots in Costa Rica, and you can see why! No filter used - the water really is that colour! This amazing spot is just one reason why Costa Rica should be on your list of places to see

Why we think it’s a top photo: This photo showcases the pure awesomeness of the landscape in Palawan. The opportunities for adventure here are endless. Kayaking and canoeing are one of the most popular activities as they are such a great way to experience the natural beauty of the place. Can we go now?

8. Petra, Jordan

Why we think it’s a top photo: Petra in Jordan is most famous for being home to one of the eight wonders of the world - an intricate architecture cut straight into the rock. But this photo shows just how awesome the place is, despite being home to this one particular site. You can see why people call it ‘Rose City’ - the pink sandstone cliffs are just breathtaking. Visiting Jordan would be an experience like no other.

Why we think it’s a top photo: This photo shows the stunning Inle Lake in Myanmar. Known as Inthas or lake-dwellers, the local fishermen are known for their unique leg rowing which involves holding one of their paddles with a foot! Captured at sunset, this photo also shows why Myanmar is becoming increasingly popular - we’re dying to visit! 

10. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Why we think it’s a top photo: We think this magical image captures the beauty of Ho Chi Minh at night perfectly. The city comes alive at Lunar New Year with fireworks and an atmosphere to match.
