2. Botanical Gardens The Botanical Gardens earned Singapore its first UNESCO World Heritage nomination. The gardens preserve pieces of Singapore’s wild heritage and show it off to visitors in a really beautiful way.

3. MacRitchie Reservoir MacRitchie Reservoir Park, previously known as Thomson reservoir is Singapore’s oldest reservoir. It has an interesting history as it was donated by philanthropist Tan Kim Seng. The reservoir now serves as a great place where nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts can gather!

4. Siloso Beach Probably the busiest beach in Singapore, located on Sentosa island, Siloso beach is full of restaurants, bars and fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Take a dip in the warm water, relax in the sun, indulge in amazing food or even treat yourself to a shopping spree!

5. Bukit Batok Hill Situated in the western region, Bukit Batok was once covered by pineapple and rubber plantations back in the early 20th century. In the early 1940s industrialization started to happen and now, it’s well maintained and has some interesting places for tourists to explore.

6. Marina Bay Sands Marina Bay Sands is Singapore’s most iconic hotel and luxurious resort that boasts the largest infinity pool in the world and irresistible views of Singapore’s skyline. Featuring countless other luxurious facilities, you definitely won’t be bored here!

7. Helix Bridge This amazing footbridge connects the South Marine Bay and the Marine center over the Singapore River. The Helix bridge is also the first curved bridge of the world and was opened in 2010 for the public.

• Day bag - remember to pack a small, comfortable bag to carry your belongings with you when you’re out and about all day!

• Money belt - a money belt or bum bag is a great way to carry your most important items (passport, money, tickets etc) hands-free! 

• Reusable water bottle - with the heat and humidity in Singapore you’ll need to drink a lot of water while you’re out and about. Do your bit to save the environment and bring your own refillable water bottle instead of relying on buying plastic bottles of water.

• Umbrella - the Singapore weather is fairly unpredictable, with thunderstorms and heavy downpours common. Be prepared for rain any day and be sure to include an umbrella in your list of things to bring.

• Clothes for warm weather - if you’re trying to work out how to dress in Singapore, just remember that it will be hot and humid. So focus on lightweight natural materials and light clothing, such as t-shirts, shorts and sundresses.

• Plug adapter - the standard electrical voltage in Singapore is 220V and most electrical sockets take the standard UK style 3-prong plugs. If you are traveling from a country with different style plugs, make sure you add a travel adapter to your things to pack for Singapore.
